About Sharone
Sharone Chusid is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Reading Teacher, proudly serving children and families across South Florida. She holds her ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) and is a licensed Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Sharone's academic background includes an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology (CUNY Brooklyn College), an M.A. in TESOL (Tel Aviv University), and a B.S. from NYU. Her Bilingual Extension Certification (BEA) enables her to assess and treat children from diverse linguistic backgrounds, offering therapy in both English and Hebrew.
With extensive experience across preschool and elementary schools, as well as clinical settings, Sharone has worked with toddlers to adolescents on a wide range of speech and language delays and disorders. Most recently, she worked at a specialized school in Manhattan for students with language-based learning disabilities, focusing on literacy and language support. Currently, Sharone provides in-home, private speech and language therapy, as well as multisensory literacy intervention, to children across South Florida, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and surrounding communities within Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Teletherapy/remote services are also available for families located anywhere! Sharone is trained in Preventing Academic Failure (PAF), an Orton-Gillingham based reading intervention integrating reading, writing, and spelling.
Committed to a collaborative approach, Sharone communicates regularly with parents, teachers, and colleagues to ensure individualized treatment and effective carryover of skills, providing exceptional support for families in the South Florida area and beyond!
